My beloved old Dynabook is gradually diminishing in performance - the more you use it, the more frustrated you get. And then there is this issue of the CD-ROM drive that is refusing to cooperate now. You can no longer burn a CD and reading one will take forever, too, in 10 times trial, maybe you'll get lucky twice. In conclusion, given it's 4.5 years of service, we have to face the unexpected, as it happened to my old blender friend, machines don't last forever like a Le Creuset pot.

After much contemplation, reasoning and justification, I bit the bullet and made my purchase of the year. A Mac convert since June 2005, the new MacBook is my first choice.
Last Thursday, I made my way to the Apple Store in Shibuya with my cousin Yudo and we picked up my new MacBook, while enjoying the 7% discount, courtesy of my cousin's student status.
